What is urethane and why do I need it?
Urethane is a material applied to the outside cover of premium golf balls that allows a player to better maximize spin. In golf, spin equates to control, and urethane is what’s needed when you want to spin a ball back on the green.
Urethane does not help you play any better, it simply allows for more fine-tuned control around the greens and on iron shots, therefore it is only recommend for players under a 12 handicap.
